Sergio Mei, one of the most appreciated interpreters of Italian cuisine at an international level, will be the protagonist of the next appointment of Notti Stellate, scheduled at the Osteria del Forte, Thursday 25 November 2021.
Born in 1952, Chef Mei, originally from Santadi, has a resume that does not go unnoticed. His over 50-year career began in a Tuscan trattoria at the age of 14. After being Executive Chef at the Excelsior Hotel in Bergamo, in 1986 he arrived at the Hotel Palace in Milan where he obtained his first Michelin star as a hotel chef in Italy.
Since 1994, for 21 years, he has been Executive Chef of the Four Seasons hotel in Milan. Author and co-author of many prestigious publications, as well as lecturer for 10 years at the École Lenôtre the most famous Catering Institute in France – and current member of the scientific committee of Italia a Tavola, the Chef boasts numerous awards including the Gold Medal at the Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg (1994) and national recognition as Chef of the Year (1998).
In the extraordinary location of Palazzo Doglio, the Chef will share his unmistakable style, marked by a choice of ingredients linked to his region in a unique menu where there will be reinvention and reinterpretation of traditional recipes, which have made him famous throughout the world.
